Here you'll find all the resources you'll need to complete aspects of homework and opportunities to fill gaps discovered as a result of the summer term.
Homework Checklist- from Friday 9th October to Thursday 15th October:
Spellings Shed: please try to complete a game on it (link below) most days and practice in spelling book (new spellings will be stuck in from next week).
Times Tables Rockstars: play in the Garage, Studio or Soundcheck (Multiplication Check) each day for 10 minutes.
Reading: read every day for at least 10 minutes developing fluency, but also asking questions about the character's feel or why they are doing certain activities, etc. Please refer to the Parent's Guide in the file share for extra support with developing fluency and comprehension skills. Remember we have access to the free e-book library online with Oxford Owl below and our class login.
Reading on Purple Mash: a comprehension and related quiz will be set for children to complete once a week.
All the links you need to the online material is below and this will be monitored weekly to keep track of who is completing homework.
Please also ensure reading records are brought in daily. Children hand their book in if they need to change it, but will be told to keep their reading record open on their desks in the mornings for them to be checked.

This week's Spelling Rule:
Words with endings that sound like /ze/, as in measure, are always spelled with ‘-sure’.

Mr Robinson will be notified when children have completed a certain amount of games related to their weekly spellings.
Spelling Sped logins are on the inside cover of your child's spelling record book.
Now more than ever, it is crucial to get your child back into their Times Tables practice. Therefore, please give regular opportunities for them to complete a session on Times Tables Rock Stars.
In addition, please ensure you are regularly practise of their 2's, 5's and 10's for Autumn in anticipation to move onto 3's, 4's in Autumn 2.
Reading Comprehension:
This week the children need to read the '2 Do' called 'Chapter 4 of Alien Hotel' and then answer the questions related to it as a separate 2 Do.
