For English, over the next four days, I have set the following tasks:
- āFirst Flightā picture speculation/speaking and listening activity
- Two reading comprehensions related to a flood
- Two song comprehension activities
- 3 days of activities related to the use of inverted commas
I have included the answer key on some of the SPAG activities. However, please only use this to mark your work!

This is the work which I have set for the next three days:
Wednesday 16th - '25 years of the internet' comprehension and commas in a list activity
Thursday 17th - 'Penguins' comprehension and bullet points
Friday - 'Robert Burns' comprehension and hyphens
The science work is for the period of self-isolation and can be found in the folder below. Children can write a factfile about a famous scientist, investigate the properties of materials and discuss true and false statements about dissolving. In class, we have begun to look at the factors which affect dissolving using sugar.
I have also included some work in the computing file below related to online safety. All Years 5 and 6 have been discussing this topic and Year 6 children have been collating a guide on how to stay safe on social media.
There will also be maths activities from Mr Haw and Mr Spenceley.

is a fun task to help you learn some capita cities and follow it up with some research.

There is no expectation for the children to complete this activity at all. I know we have some budding web designers and game coders in our class so I thought it would be nice to give them the option to learn how to code a game in their spare time.
